Subwoofer amp set up?

hey guys i have a kicker L5 12'' ( http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=kicker+l5&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&cid=12198240630107579418&os=tech-specs ) and a quantum qb1000d ( http://www.amazon.com/Quantum-QB1000D-Beta-Mono-Amplifier/dp/tech-data/B00433SO44 ) if anyone knows the best way to tune the amp to get the best sound outta the kicker please let me know. also what is the subsonic filter. and what should it be set to on the amplifier. thanks
